Network Security Specialist
Plutosec is looking for a skilled and proactive Network Security Specialist to protect and maintain the integrity of our clients’ network infrastructures. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage network security measures, monitor network traffic for suspicious activity, and ensure the overall safety of data communications. Plutosec is looking for a skilled and proactive Network Security Specialist to protect and maintain the integrity of our clients’ network infrastructures. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage network security measures, monitor network traffic for suspicious activity, and ensure the overall safety of data communications
You’ll be working with cutting-edge technologies to prevent security breaches and protect networks against evolving threats.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network security solutions including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access controls.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual or unauthorized activity, analyze potential threats, and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network systems.
- Develop, implement, and enforce network security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with system administrators and IT teams to ensure network security best practices are followed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
- Experience with SD-WAN, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and network segmentation strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud networking and securing hybrid/cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, or Nagios.
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development and execution of long-term engineering strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to analyze complex problems, formulate effective solutions, and make sound decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in network security, network administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches.
- Hands-on experience with security appliances and tools like firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network monitoring platforms.
- Proficiency in network security auditing and vulnerability assessment tools.
